He was born in Novi Sad. Since 1973, he started his professional career as an actor. He was engaged in Novi Sad Youth Theatre, Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, National Theatre in Subotica, KPGT, Theatre for the Young in Sarajevo, Drama Center in Novi Sad, Academy Theatre “Promena”, Portal Theatre in Novi Sad, Radio Television Novi Sad, Belgrade, Sarajevo.
He played in about ten films, several TV dramas and series and in about hundred cultural, entertaining and children’s TV programs. Ratko participated in Zmaj Children’s Festival, Brankovo Kolo, and Cultural Center of Novi Sad. He played his roles on the stages in Novi Sad, Belgrade, Subotica, Skopje, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Split, Ljubljana, Pristine, Kotor, Budva, Banja Luka, Mostar, Sibenik, Titel, Paris, Dortmund, Leningrad, Katovice, Bratislava, Sofia, Zurich, Szeged, Mexico City, London…
He founded humorous Theatre “Duck”.
In the year 2000, he founded Brod Theatre.
He is also founder and singer in the rock band “Gepard grrr”. This group published one LP record (PGP RTB). He wrote several songs, dramatizations, one libretto, one mono drama, London diary and right now works on his memoirs.
He directed space opera “Kozoder in action”, comedy “Twin Brothers” by T.M. Plaut, puppet dream “Sea, Sea…”, cabaret “Romeo and Juliet”, musical – stage attraction “The End of the 20th Century”, “The bed – associations”, “When the cripples go marching in”, “Love letter”, “Indecisive bride”, “MP no-metter-what”, “Our little life is rounded with a sleep”….
For his acting and directing, he got awards on International, Yugoslavian, and Province level.
He is married to his wife, Duska and has two sons: Jovan and Nemanja.
